He was the son of Thomas Bosworth a licensed victualler, born 1869 in Anstey, Leics., and his wife Sarah, born 1869 in Anstey, Leics. Thomas was born in 1892 in Anstey, Leics., his siblings were Frances Agnes, born 1890 in Anstey, Leics., Charles Ernest, born 1895 and Ivy, born 1897, the latter two siblings were both born in Cropston, Leics., Zilpah, born 1899 and John Wilfred, born 1901, the latter two siblings were both born in Anstey, Leics., in March 1901 the family home was at 24, Old Mill Lane, Leicester. In April 1911 Thomas was employed as a boot and shoe finisher and was residing in the family home at Park Road, Anstey, Leics., together with his father, now a shoe riveter, and his mother and siblings, Frances, Charles, Ivy, Zilpah, Wilfred, Constance, born 1904 and Philip, born 1906, the latter two siblings were both born in Anstey, Leics.
