He was the son of Thomas and Alice Lucy Dixon. Other sources show his place of residence as Huntington, Staffs.

The following information was kindly shared with the project by D Clamp in 2016: "Percy was killed on 14/2/1916 at a site called The Bluff which is just outside Ypres. I have his medals and death plaque ( my grandma Adelaide Mary was his sister ) On 14/2/2016 i attended the last post ceremony at the Menin Gate in Ypres and laid a wreath on behalf of myself, brother John and sister Julie. As he has no known grave his name is recorded on the wall of the Menin Gate ( in the section for the Royal Engineers ) along with about 54,000 others! His brother Victor John was killed 23/3/1918 and is buried at the New British Cemetary at Noyon. Younger brother Harrison was wounded but returned home."
