He was the son of Charles Augustus Bendall an Elementary School Teacher, born 1864 in St. Luke’s, London and his wife Emma Jane, born 1862 in Southampton, Hants. Charles Feecham was born in 1890 in Blandford, Devon, in April 1891 the family home was at Cornworthy, Devon. In March 1901 Charles was residing at the family home in the School House, Bexhill, Sussex together with his parents, brother Claude Dan, born 1893 in Boscastle, Cornwall and his cousin, Frederick H. Randall, born 1885 in Kennington, London. In April 1911 Charles was employed as an Assistant Teacher and was residing in the family home at Ashwell, Rutland together with his parents. He was a gardener prior to enlisting. He was made Corporal in January 1917 and he embarked for France on the 18th March 1917. A little over a month later he died in No. 10 Casualty Clearing Station, France from shrapnel wounds. Other sources show his place of residence as Manton, Rutland.
