Albert was baptised on the 2nd April 1899 at Barrow upon Soar, Leics. He had eight siblings, Sidney, Arthur, Elsie Lilian, Herbert Wilfred, Gladys Hilda, Harold, Florence Amy and Phyllis Mabel.
