He was the son of Mr and Mrs Henry Hunt of The Old House, Caldecott, Rutland, and the husband of Kathleen Wood (formerly Hunt) of 18, Gopsall Street, Leicester. He was an architect by profession, after enlistment he embarked for France on the 30th May 1917 taking part in operations in the Arras sector. On the 3rd July 1917 he was wounded by a shell and subsequently died in hospital the same day of his wounds.
