ContributeSource: Michael Doyle Their Name Liveth For Evermore: The Great War Roll of Honour for Leicestershire and Rutland. He was the son of John Thomas and Emma Cox. Prior to enlistment he was employed as a moulder. He embarked for France on the 8th February 1918, and was reported as taking part in an engagement on the 22nd March, where he was taken prisoner. Other sources state, that he died as a prisoner of war in Germany in May 1918, also his unit is given as the 2nd Bn. Leics. Regt.
