Letters From Men In The Forces
Councillor C. S. B. Smith, the vice-chairman of the Coalville War Comforts Fund Committee, has handed us a batch of letters from the men in the service who have received parcels from the Comforts Fund. Here are the extracts.
A.C. Jim Hares writes, “Let me say how proud I was to be able to show my friends your complimentary card which shows the fine spirit of Coalville and district. I think you are doing magnificent work and I call the cheering-up of the men in the Forces patriotic work.”
