Chamberlain a stone quarry man, born 1877 in Lutterworth, Leics., and his wife Beatrice Ellen a hosiery trade seamer, born 1880 in Cosby, Leics. Thomas Frederick was born in 1899 in Cosby, Leics., he had one sibling, a brother William, born 1901 in Cosby, Leics., in March 1901 he was residing at Challis Folly, Cosby, Leics., this being the family home of his widowed maternal grandmother, Elizabeth Nicholson, born 1850 in Cosby, Leics., and her children, Frances Nicholson, born 1885 and Norah Nicholson, born 1887, also residing in the family home was her granddaughter, Norah Nicholson, born 1898, the latter two children and granddaughter were all born in Cosby, Leics. In April 1911 Thomas was a scholar and was residing in the family home at Cosby, Leics., together with his father, now a cement work’s labourer, his mother and siblings, Phyllis, born 1905 and Kathleen, born 1909, both his siblings were born in Cosby, Leics.
