ContributeSource: Michael Doyle Their Name Liveth For Evermore: The Great War Roll of Honour for Leicestershire and Rutland. He was the son of Thomas and Eliza Pick. Before the war George had worked on the farm of Mr Edward Wild for 18 years from leaving school. He died in Rugely Military Hospital after a short illness, only having been in the army for a month. His death plaque (Death Penny) is attached to the wall of the church next to the war memorial.
