He was the son of Mr and Mrs William Walker of 4, Normanton Cottages, Empingham, Rutland. Before enlistment he had been a butcher, he joined the Army Service Corps., and was transferred to the Machine Gun Corps. in January 1917. He embarked for France on the 26th August 1917 and fought on the Cambrai Sector. He was wounded on the 29th September, and killed on the 22nd November 1917.
