He was the son of George Driver, a corn cake stove keeper, born 1870 in Great Blakenham, Suffolk and his wife Fanny Driver (nee Biggs, married in December 1890 in the Blaby, Leicestershire district), a griswold framework knitter, born 1872 in Enderby, Leicestershire. Frederick George was born on the 4th October 1892 in Enderby and was baptised on the 10th September 1899 in the parish church, Enderby, his siblings were, Emily Elizabeth, born 25th February1894 and baptised on the 10th September 1899 in the parish church, Enderby, Cecil, born 9th April 1895 and baptised on the 10th September 1899 in the parish church Enderby and Celia Ada, born 8th August 1899 and baptised on the 10th September 1899 in the parish church, Enderby, all his siblings were born in Enderby, in March 1901 the family home was at Mill Hill, Enderby. In April 1911 Frederick was employed as a farm labourer and was residing in the family home at Mill Hill, Enderby, together with his father, a stone quarry worker, his mother, a boot and shoe trade machinist, and his siblings, Emily, a cotton winder, Cecil, a farm labourer, Celia, a schoolgirl, Hilda Mary Emma, born 20th July 1904 and baptised on the 11th September 1904 in the parish church, Enderby, Joseph Edward, born 8th July 1906 and baptised on the 21st October 1906 in the parish church, Enderby and Eric Hammond, born 4th August 1910 and baptised on the 9th October 1910 in the parish church, Enderby, the latter three siblings were all born in Enderby.
