He was the son of the late Mr and Mrs Charles Jesson of Gumley, Leics. On the 31st January 1920 the Wyggeston Grammar School for Boys in Leicester published a Roll of Honour, this recorded that Arthur had been a pupil at the school between the years 1901 and 1905. The War Diary for the 15th November 1916 records. Attacked MUNICH TRENCH with rest of the 112th Bde. 4 officers killed. The War Diary for the 16th November 1916 records. Entrenched near WAGGON ROAD.
