ContributeSource: Leicestershire War Memorials Project. According to the 1911 census, Albert was boarding at Station Terrace, Heather, in 1911 (with William and Elizabeth Webster and their son Percy).
He returned to Lewisham and enlisted with the 11th Battalion in September 1915. During the course of his training he was transferred to the 12th Reserve Battalion then the 6th Battalion.
He died on the 29th July 1916.
Elizabeth Webster appears in his Soldiers Effects record - his parents had both died by the time he was 10. (The 1901 Census shows him at a Pauper School with his older brother William.)
