He was the son of William Beasley a Farm Labourer, born 1862 in Hinckley, Leicestershire and his wife Mary A., born 1860 in Barwell, Leicestershire. Thomas Bertie was born in 1899 in Hinckley, Leicestershire, his siblings were, Elizabeth A., born 1886, Sarah A., born 1888, the latter two siblings were born in Hinckley, Leicestershire, Nellie, born 1891 and William G., born 1898, the latter two siblings were born in Aylestone, Leicestershire, in March 1901 the family home was at 17, Brick Kiln Street, Hinckley, Leicestershire, this being situated within the Ecclesiastical Parish of Holy Trinity. In April 1911 Thomas was a Schoolboy and was residing in the family home at 39, Rugby Road, Hinckley, Leicestershire together with his parents and siblings, Nellie and William.
