He was the son of Isaac Beasley a Brickyard Labourer, born 1865 in Hinckley, Leicestershire and his wife Maria, born 1873 in Hinckley, Leicestershire. Thomas Alfred was born in 1898 in Hinckley, Leicestershire, his siblings were John William, born 1893 and George, born 1900, both siblings were born in Hinckley, Leicestershire, in March 1901 the family home was at 10, Brick Kiln Street, Hinckley, Leicestershire, this being situated within the Ecclesiastical Parish of Holy Trinity. In April 1911 Thomas was employed as a Factory Worker and was residing in the family home at 22, Brick Kiln Street, Hinckley, Leicestershire together with his parents and siblings, John, George, Doris Elizabeth, born 1902, Winifred, born 1905, Edith, born 1908 and Sydney Charles, born 1910, all his siblings were born in Hinckley, Leicestershire. On Friday March 2nd 1917 The Leicester Mercury published the following article under the heading. THE ROLL OF HONOUR” “LOCAL MEN IN THE CASUALTY LISTS” The followings local casualties are officially reported. All are Private’s except where otherwise shown:- (Previously Reported Missing). KILLED. WORCESTERSHIRE REGIMENT. Beasley, 25391 T. A. (Hinckley).
