The War Diary for today records. TRENCHES. At 8.00am Lt COLES went on leave to ENGLAND. The Sergeant wounded the previous day died at CHOQUES. At 3.00pm all afternoon the back areas were again heavily shelled, work was -?- on the blown in sap but the buried man was not dug out till midnight.
