Austen Frederick was a schoolboy and was born in 1899 in Kirkby in Ashfield, Notts., his siblings were, Kathleen, a schoolgirl, born 1898 and Thomas S. a schoolboy, born 1902, the latter two siblings were both born in Kirkby in Ashfield, Notts., and Dorothy E., born 1910 in Mansfield, Notts., in April 1911 the family home was at 27, Harrington Street, Mansfield, Notts.
