Lovesey William- In Loving Memory of a dear husband and father, died April 22nd 1940- from his loving wife and family.
Also a Silent Prayer for the Safety of our dear youngest Son, Sergt. Sidney Lovesey, serving with the 14th Army, reported missing, presumed killed, since February 6th, 1944.- from Mother and Family.

Official notification of Sydney Lovesey's death was reported in the Market Harborough Advertiser on the 1st March 1946:
'Harborough Soldier Killed'
'Wife Gets Official News 2 Years Later
Official notification has been received by Mrs S Lovesey of 4 Lathkill Street, Market Harborough that her husband, Sergt. Sydney Lovesey was killed in action in Burma while serving with the 14th Army.
He was reported missing presumed killed, on February 6th 1944. Twenty-nine years of age, he was with the 7th Division Royal Corp of Signals. Sergt. Lovesey had been in the army since June 1940 and served oversesas for two years before his death.'
