ContributeSource: Leicestershire War Memorials Project. Richard was the son of Frederick Hartridge Branson, and Virginia Muriel Branson, of Kents Bank, Lancashire.
He was killed on the 31/08/1945 when Bristol Beaufighter X RD 725 of No 12 Ferry Unit suffered engine failure on take-off.
The aircraft went out of control and crashed 1 mile SW of Little Dalby, Melton Mowbray.
