Atter a Grocer's Shopkeeper and Assistant, born 1858 in Wisbech, Lincolnshire and his wife Annie, born 1870 in Tewkesbury, Gloucestershire.Thomas Ernest was a Postman and was born in 1882 in Crowland, Lincolnshire, his siblings were Herbert H., born 1880 in Moulton, Lincolnshire, Agnes G., born 1883 in Crowland, Lincolnshire, Henrietta, born 1886 in Leicester and Edward J., born 1888 in Leicester. In March 1901 the family home was in the parish of St. Stephen's at 162, Mount Road, Leicester. In April 1911 Thomas was employed as a Town Postman and was residing with his wife, Mary Elizabeth, born 1884 in Leicester and their two children, William Ernest, born 1904 and Phyllis May, born 1909, both children were born in Leicester, the family home was at 157, Beaumanor Road, Leicester.
