He was the eldest son of George Henry and Kate ELizabeth Adams. In 1911 the family home was in North Luffenham, Rutland, present were his father George Henry a Timber Yard Sawyer, born 1872 in Silverstone, Northamptonshire and his mother Kate Elizabeth, born 1873 in Charwelton, Northamptonshire. John Alfred George was a Farm Under Waggoner, born in 1896 in Silverstone, Northamptonshire, he had two brothers and a sister, Andrew Arthur a Domestic House Boy, born 1897 in Dunchurch, Warwickshire, William a Schoolboy, born 1899 in Dunchurch, Warwickshire and Hildred Amelia, born 1909 in Harborough Magna, Warwickshire. He was trained as a Lewis gunner, embarking for France on the 15th October 1918, and was wounded in action by a bullet on 4th November, he subsequently died at an hospital in Liverpool.
