He was the son of Harry Bexon a Shirt Scourer, born 1873 in Loughborough, Leics., and his wife Clara, born 1879 in Loughborough, Leics. Arthur was born in 1898 in Loughborough, Leics., he had one sibling, a sister Clara, born 1901 in Hinckley, Leics., in March 1901 the family home was at 7, Occupation Road, Hinckley, Leics., in the Ecclesiastical Parish of Hinckley, St. Mary. In April 1911 Arthur was a Schoolboy and was residing in the family home at 13, Pinfold Street, Loughborough, Leics., together with his parents and siblings, Harry, born 1903, Ethel May, born 1907 and Charles Leslie, born 1909, all his siblings were born in Loughborough, Leics., also residing with the family was his maternal aunt, Mary Ann Hallam, born 1891 in Loughborough, Leics.
