Leicestershire Officer’s Death

Intimation has been received from the War Office by his parents of the death on Saturday, on active service, of Lieutenant Jack Greville Winks, a Leicestershire officer, at the age of 24.

Lieutenant Winks was the only son of Mr Horace E. Winks, captain of Rothley Park Golf Club, and Mrs Winks, of the Ridgeway, Rothley.

It is understood that Lieutenant Winks lost his life in a night flying accident. He was the director of the Brico Commercial Chemical Co. Ltd, with which his father is also associated.
