John Jones, son of John and Annie Jones of Talbot Lane, Whitwick, half brother to Diamond Freeman and brother to Henry Jones who are also on this memorial. Private in 5th battl. Northants Regiment died in Tunisia on 11 April 1943 along with 3 others from his regiment. Memorial Medjez-el-Bab war cemetery.

Diamond Freeman is my late father's (Aubrey Jones) half brother. Diamond's mother was Annie Jones née Freeman of Thringstone and Whitwick, Leicestershire. Diamond's other half brothers were Henry and John Jones who served in the army in WW2. They were also killed during the war. They are buried in North Africa and India.
