He was the son of Nathaniel Berrington a Stone Quarry Worker, born 1863 in Shepshed, Leics., and his wife Ann, born 1867 in Shepshed, Leics. Everard was born in 1898 in Shepshed, Leics., his siblings were Mary Ellen, born 1890, Sarah L., born 1891 and Annie, born 1893, all his siblings were born in Shepshed, Leics., in March 1901 the family home was at Forest Street, Shepshed, Leics., in the Ecclesiastical Parish of St. Botolph. In April 1911 Everard was a Schoolboy and was residing in the family home at Forest Street, Shepshed, Leics., together with his parents and siblings, Mary, Sarah, Annie, Prudence May, born 1902, Leonard, born 1905 and Mabel, born 1908, the latter three siblings were all born in Shepshed, Leics. The War Diary for today records. CAULLERY. 09.30. Battalion marched to INCHY via LIGNY, CAUDRY and ARDENCOURT. Rested at INCHY 3 hours. 15.30. Moved forward to assembly position 800 yards north of AMERVAL.
