He was the son of William Fellows, a rubber mill worker, born 1851 in Market Harborough, Leics., and his wife Sarah Elizabeth Fellows (nee Dunkley, married q2 1881 in the Market Harborough, Leics. district), born 1860 in Market Harborough, Leics. Cecil was born in q4 1898 in Market Harborough, Leics., his siblings were, Harry, a rubber trade worker, born 1885 in Sheffield, Yorks, Edith E., a corset maker, born 1882, Clara E., a corset maker, born 1884, Florence A., born 1892, Selina, born 1893, Mary Ann, born 1894, Frank, born 24th March 1895 and Samuel, born 1897, the latter seven siblings were all born in Market Harborough, Leics., in March 1901 the family home was at Dingley Terrace, Great Bowden, Market Harborough, Leics. In April 1911 Cecil was a schoolboy and was residing in the family home at 9, Patrick Street, Market Harborough, Leics., together with his father a rubber mill worker, his mother and siblings, Clara, a sewing machinist, Harry, a rubber moulder, William, a stock room worker, Florence, a sewing machinist, Mary, Frank, a stock room worker, Samuel, a type foundry caster and Pres, born 1904 in Market Harborough, Leics. His elder brother Frank also lost his life.
