He was the son of Frederick W. and Ann Fox. The 1911 census records, Ann Fox, married and head of the family, born 1854 at Thorpe by Water, Rutland. The children were Margaret, a Corset Hand Machinist, born 1886, Albert, a Tailor, born 1892, Frederick Ernest, a Butcher's Errand Boy, born 1894, the latter three children were born in Billesdon, Leics., and Frank, a Green Grocer's Errand Boy, born 1896 in Great Bowden, Leics. The family were residing at 13, Highfield Street, Great Bowden, Leics.
