He was the son of George Justice, a domestic coachman, born 1871 in Little Tew, Oxon., and his wife Minnie Justice (nee Ralins, married in the 2nd quarter of 1893 in the Witney, Oxon. district), born 1870 in Shipton under Wychwood, Oxon. Albert Edward was born in the 1st quarter of 1897 in Stoke Albany, Northants, his siblings were, Mabel, born 1896 and Howard, born 1899, both his siblings were born in Stoke Albany, Northants., in March 1901 the family home was at Desborough Road, Stoke Albany, Northants. In April 1911 Albert was employed as an auctioneer’s office boy and was residing in the family home at Stoke Albany, Northants., together with his father, a domestic coachman, his mother and brother Howard, a schoolboy. Albert first entered the Theatre of War in France in 1915, and he was awarded the 1915 Star, Victory and British Medal before being discharged on the 27th July 1916 as medically unfit for further war service, and was issued with a Silver War Badge No 219130.
