In April 1911 George was employed as a hosiery trade worker and was residing in the family home at 6, Calver Hill, Sapcote, Leics., together with his parents and siblings, Emily and Wesley C., born 1904 in Sapcote, Leics., also residing with the family was his brother in law Joseph William Lane, born 1883 in Stoney Stanton, Leics., and his wife, George’s sister Agnes and their daughter, Barbara C. Lane., born 1911 in Sapcote, Leics.
