ContributeSource: Michael Doyle Their Name Liveth For Evermore: The Great War Roll of Honour for Leicestershire and Rutland. He was the son of Tom and Mary Elizabeth Scotchbrook. Prior to enlisting he had been a gardener, he joined the West Yorkshire Regiment, and after training he embarked for Malta in April 1916, and subsequently served in France. In March 1917 he was transferred to the Northumberland Fusiliers, and his death was notified as cause unknown after he was reported missing in action on the 5th June 1917.
