Son of Walter Charles Brown and of Florence Elizabeth Brown (nee Woodrow); husband of Winifred Ena Brown (nee Sharp), of Humberstone, Leicestershire.

Harold was remembered along with two other servicemen on a brass plaque that was formerly located within the entrance of the Bishop Street Methodist Church, Leicester.

Following refurbishment of the church, the plaque went missing and its whereabouts are currently unknown.
