Patrols were out all night but encountered no enemy. The German wire at U.13.t.9.6. was investigated and found to be much damaged but still formed a considerable obstacle. At 11.30pm enemy shelled back area heavily with 5.9’s and 4.2’s. The enemy appear to be using the instantaneous fuse.
