He was the son of Charles Henry Aspital a Factory Boot Finisher, born 1865 in Uppingham, Rutland and his wife Sarah Jane a Hosiery Overlocker, born 1868 in Enderby, Leicestershire. Percy Dearmer was a Boot Heeling Machine Feeder, born 1896 in Leicester, his siblings were Charles Arthur, born 1894 and Lawrence Sydney, born 1898, both siblings were born in Leicester. In April 1911 the family were all residing as boarders at 26, Vine Street, Leicester. The Temperence Hall Mission memorial plaque is now located in the Bishop Street Methodist Church, Leicester.
