He was the son of Samuel Hutchinson, a boot trade finisher, born in the October quarter of 1863 in Oadby, Leicestershire and baptised on the 8th November 1863 in St. Peter’s Church, Oadby (son of Samuel Hutchinson, 1835-1911 and Jane Jackson Norman, 1841-1908) and his wife Mary Jane Hutchinson (nee Flude, married on the 31st May 1884 in Leicester), born on the 8th September 1865 in Shearsby, Leicestershire (daughter of Matthias Flude, 1832-1910 and Ann Ellis, 1836-1897). Albert Isaac was born in the July quarter of 1895 in Leicester, his siblings were, Thomas Alfred Flude, a boot trade pressman, born in the April quarter of 1882, William Ellis, a boot trade finisher, born on the 6th February 1885, Horace, a house painter’s apprentice, born on the 10th May 1886, Samuel Norman, a boot trade finisher, born on the 30th November 1887, Gertrude Elizabeth, born on the 15th August 1892 and Walter, born in the October quarter of 1897, all his siblings were born in Leicester, in March 1901 the family home was at 111, Asfordby Street, St. Stephen’s, Leicester. In April 1911 Albert was employed as a boot trade clicker and was residing in the family home at 111, Asfordby Street, Leicester, together with his father, a boot trade finisher, his mother and siblings, Samuel, a boot trade worker, Gertrude, a tailoring trade machinist, Walter, a schoolboy, Archie, born on the 20th April 1901 and Grace Miriam, born on the 23rd May 1903, the latter two siblings were both born in Leicester. In the April quarter of 1914, Albert married Ettie Alexandra Mee in Leicester, Ettie was born on the 28th April 1894 in Leicester (daughter of John Mee, 1848 and Isabella Orbinski, 1851). Albert and Ettie had two children, Winifred Ethel, born on the 8th November 1914 and Eveline Grace, born on the 19th February 1916, both children were born in Leicester, the family home was at 211, Walnut Street, Leicester.
Albert’s army service enlistment documents do not survive, therefore the currently available information pertaining to his military service has been obtained from the following sources: - 1921 HMSO Publication, Soldiers Died in the Great War, 1914 - 1919, WW1 Service Medal and Award Rolls, Army Registers of Soldiers’ Effects, WW1 Medal Rolls Index Cards, WW1 Pension Ledgers and Index Cards and the Commonwealth War Graves Commission Registers.

In the event of his death, Albert nominated his wife, Ettie as his sole legatee.
On the 16th February 1918, Albert’s widow Ettie, of 211, Walnut Street, Leicester, was awarded a weekly Army Dependant’s Pension of twenty-two shillings and eleven pence for herself and her two children, commensurate on the 25th February 1918.
On Wednesday, August 17th, 1921, The Leicester Daily Mercury published the following article on page 7, under the heading. – BIRTHS, MARRIAGES AND DEATHS. – IN MEMORIAM. – HUTCHINSON. – In loving memory of our dear son and brother, Albert Hutchinson, who died in France on the 17th August., 1917. Today recalls sad memories. – From his loving Mother, Father, Sisters, and Brothers.
