IN THE CHURCHYARD NEAR THIS SPOT ARE DEPOSITED THE REMAINS OF MAJOR THOMAS CRADOCK WHO WAS BORN IN LOUGHBOROUGH /
IN 1785. HE SERVED THROUGHOUT THE WHOLE OF THE PENINSULAR WAR INCLUDING THE TWO SIEGES OF BADAJOS AND HE TOOK /
PART IN THE EVER MEMORABLE BATTLE OF WATERLOO, WHERE HE WAS SEVERELY WOUNDED. HE DIED AT LEICESTER IN 1851. + /
