ContributeOn a concrete platform stand 3 pedestals in Portland stone. Surmounting the central pedestal is the main block, bracketed with pilasters decorated with carved wreaths. Each of the side pedestals supports 4 x 9-inch square pillars matching the pilasters of the central block. These 3 parts are linked by, at the bottom, walls between the pedestals and, on top, a massive cornice rising to an arch over the central block. Slate tablets bear inscription. Small metal vase with "Arthur Povey" written on placed with memorial. Unveiled Saturday 19 February 1921 by Mr A Turner (president of memorial committee), dedicated by Rector Rev AH Birks MA. Cost 840 pounds.
