The National Archives website, referring to the company in relation to some of its deposits (held at the Record Office for Leicestershire, Leicester and Rutland), says : [quote] The firm was famous, particularly in the Victorian and Edwardian period, for making greenhouses, verandahs, summer houses, cucumber frames, melon pits, mushroom beds, orchid stages, vineries and peach-houses.
