Headstone of Private A E Eggleston of the Leicestershire Regiment, who died 10th October 1916 aged 24. He is buried in St Leonard's Churchyard, Hoton. Headstones in St Leonard's churchyard were moved to the edge of the graveyard in the 1960s, but after the church closed in the 1980s, they were moved to Loughborough Cemetery. Hoton church was converted into a private residence. Hoton's roll of honour was moved to nearby Prestwold church where it can still (last checked 2012) be found.
