A new home has been found for the war memorial plaque from Holwell Ironworks (which closed in 2024). The plaque lists 24 employees who died in World War II, as well as four people who died during bombing of Asfordby Valley on 23rd November 1940. The plaque has now been installed at Asfordby Hill Primary School.
