Loughborough Carillon Reopens After Revamp
Posted: Wed, 3 Sep 2025
The Carillon Tower in Loughborough's Queen's Park, which is a war memorial and also a museum, has reopened following £110,000 worth of improvements. The Carillon Tower houses 47 bells which were cast at Loughborough's John Taylor & Co Bell Foundry. New displays tell the story of World War One, the history of the Carillon Tower, and pay tribute to Leicestershire's war dead. The Carillon will be open Wednesday - Saturday from 11am to 4pm every week. Carillon recitals take place every Thursday and Sunday between 1pm and 2pm.
