ContributeRough celtic wheel cross of Cornish granite on rough rectangular plinth with rounded top corners and inscription in black on smoothed front face, ordered from a catalogue (J Sharpe, 1992). Whole on three stepped base within gravelled area, with step leading to same (bears inscription). Cross cost 75 pounds. Original intention was also to erect a village hall but there was no demand for it. Unveiled Sunday 26th February 1922 by Col German DSO. Profits from sale of Memorial postcards used towards laying out fund for memorial grounds. Red and white flowered chestnut trees planted behind cross in neighbouring field by Mr WE Glover to provide a background.
