This monument is dedicated to the fifty four Leicester Tigers players who gave their lives in war. In remembrance of their courage and bravery, we draw on these memories through the works of the Leicester Tigers Foundation. Our aim is to inspire people to create a brighter future by engaging through sport.

The close ties between the Leicestershire Regiment and Leicester Tigers goes back to the club's formation in 1880.

Thirteen Leicester Tigers players from the Leicestershire Regiment lost their lives as a result of war.

We remember the thirty eight Leicester Tigers players from the Leicestershire Regiment, along with those who gallantly served in other branches of the armed forces and survived the conflict of war.

In the First and Second World Wars, forty one Leicester Tigers players served in twenty three various branches of the armed forces. They lost their lives in fifteen different countries.
