Mee's Kings England 1966 Ed: "The war memorial is an oak reredos with the Saviour of mankind standing with arms outstretched, a crown in either hand, a soldier and sailor kneeling at His feet". Opened by Mrs Winckley as part of ceremony 15 February 1921; dedicated by Ven the Archdeacon Macnutt of Leicester.
