"At Risk War Memorials Project" Open Day

Date: Sat, 24th May 2025 11:00 - 16:00
Venue: All Saints Church, 107, Highcross Street, Leicester, LE1 4PH
Throughout the year the project opens their doors at the Chancel at All Saint's Church for Open Days. Members of the public can come along and view the war memorials and other items of remembrance that have been rescued and/or restored and have been unable to be relocated or rehomed.
Visitors to the Open Days are always very welcome and Denis Kenyon and Chris Stephens plus other volunteers are often on hand to talk about the background to each of the memorials etc. on display.
There is no entrance charge to view the memorials and there is permanent ramp access for wheelchair and pushchair users. There are toilet facilities.
There are information sheets (storyboards) with each exhibit that provide some history on the memorial and the background on how it came to be with the At Risk War Memorials Project.
