ContributeCross on tall moulded shaft, sitting on base with slate tablets and two octagonal stone steps. Unveiled 15 October 1921 by General Spiers. HER advises base part of earlier cross - Kelly's Directory states this base is supposed to be the original stone on which Charles I rested after the Battle of Naseby. Current slate plaque replaces broken one held outside north side of church.
